CoachLabs FAQ
Overview
What is CoachLabs in one line?
A premium ecosystem for established coaches: Certification (12-week cohort), Membership (ongoing labs + tools + research), and SessionOS (the session layer, expanding into the full OS) — all built on ethics, privacy, and measurable outcomes.
What are the main “Pathways” at CoachLabs?
- Certification — 12-week professional training (plus Bootcamp), assessments, Capstone + Viva, issued via digital credential.
- Membership — monthly AI Systems Lab, prompt drops, templates/SOPs, research briefs, peer pods.
- SessionOS (Coming Soon) — a coaching-native OS beginning with the session layer (prep → live → debrief → evidence) and expanding into the all-in-one coaching platform.
- Portal — your private hub for events, replays, downloads, and community.
Certification
How long is the certification?
12 weeks (plus an optional 6–8 hr Pre-Course Bootcamp). Workload ~4–6 hours/week (live workshop, applied lab, reflections).
What’s included?
Structured modules (Weeks 1–12), assignments, peer pods, live practicums, Capstone Evidence Dossier, and a Viva (12–15 min) at the end.
What will I leave with?
An AI-safe practice (consent language, Client Data Map), codified session protocols, outcomes model + ROI memo, and a verifiable digital certificate (issued via Accredible).
Do you map to ICF requirements?
We’re designing hours, mentoring, and evaluation to align with ICF pathways and will state accreditation status transparently as it evolves. For orientation, ICF education pathways commonly reference Level 1 (~60+ hrs), Level 2 (~125+ hrs), and Level 3 (~75+ hrs plus evaluation/mentoring); requirements differ by level and credential path.
Is there mentoring or observed practice?
Yes—built into cohort design so artifacts and observed practice support your competency growth (and future accreditation mapping).
Admissions & cohort size?
Selective. 10–20 seats per cohort. Apply → interview → decision → onboarding.
Tuition & payment plans?
Pilot tuition is $9,800. Flexible payment options are available during checkout.
Refunds, deferrals, transfers?
We aim for a fair, professional policy aligned with reputable training providers: clear cancellation windows, transfer options, and transparent exceptions (e.g., Force Majeure). (Industry references: Flow Research Collective and CTI publish structured refund/transfer policies.) Final terms are presented at checkout and in your offer letter.
Membership
Who is Membership for?
Practicing coaches who want ongoing implementation support, evolving tools, and a serious peer network — without re-enrolling in a long program.
What do I get each month?
- AI Systems Lab (Live) — one focused upgrade you can deploy immediately.
- Prompt Drop — curated prompt packs/role stacks mapped to real coaching tasks.
- Templates & SOPs — consent language, data maps, outcomes dashboards, vendor checklists.
- Office Hours + Peer Pods — implementation, feedback, accountability.
- Research Brief — concise, coach-focused updates on the landscape.
- Early Access — first invites and preferred pricing for SessionOS pilots.
Is Membership required for Certification?
No. They’re complementary. Certification = depth + credential; Membership = ongoing operating system for your practice.
Can I upgrade/downgrade tiers?
Yes. Start at Core and upgrade to Pro/Leadership as needed. Your billing adjusts on the next cycle.
SessionOS
What is SessionOS?
SessionOS is the human-first, AI-powered session layer of coaching. It helps you prepare, coach with presence, and debrief into evidence — all while integrating with your existing stack (calendar, video, CRM, storage).
Are you all-in-one or session-only?
- Now: SessionOS is session-first.
- Destination: CoachLabs is building the all-in-one OS for coaches — a unified platform where you can run everything (clients, scheduling, notes, outcomes, billing, content, team management) with privacy and presence at the core.
Why start with sessions if the vision is all-in-one?
Because the session is the heartbeat of the craft. By solving this highest-leverage workflow first, we give coaches immediate value while laying the clean foundations for a full platform.
What will the all-in-one OS eventually include?
A single system that covers client management, scheduling, notes, consent & data governance, outcomes & reporting, curriculum/content, billing, messaging, and enterprise controls — designed specifically for coaching.
How will you avoid “bloat” as you add everything?
Through a modular architecture and privacy-by-design defaults. You turn on what you need, when you need it. The core remains focused, explainable, and coach-first.
Where do CRM, billing, and email live today?
In your existing stack. SessionOS integrates now. Over time, key functions will be absorbed so you can consolidate on CoachLabs when it benefits you.
What’s the timeline?
Private beta for SessionOS first (priority to Certification grads + Membership Pro/Leadership). Additional platform modules will expand in phases, shaped by coach feedback. Public roadmap shared in Ecosystem page.
Ethics, Privacy & Data
How does CoachLabs approach ethics in coaching with AI?
- Translating the ICF Code of Ethics into AI-specific rules and scenarios.
- Drafting a Client AI Disclosure Sheet and Ethics Pledge.
- Building a Client Data Map that covers consent, retention, and rights.
- Practicing real consent conversations in labs and practicums.
Do you record sessions in the Certification program?
- Live practicums may be recorded for assessment and feedback.
- Capstone submissions include recorded sessions (chosen and approved by you and your client).
- Participants are trained on how to obtain explicit client consent and handle recordings responsibly.
What about privacy in Membership?
Membership materials, peer pods, and labs emphasize confidentiality and data safety. Peer case examples are anonymized before sharing in the Case Compendium.
How do you ensure data safety in your platforms?
- Certification/Membership: Delivered in Circle (Portal), with private, invite-only access.
- Credentials: Issued via Accredible — verifiable, tamper-proof, and shareable with clients/employers.
- SessionOS (Coming Soon): Will have privacy-by-design defaults, but details will be shared at launch.
Learning Experience & Accessibility
How are live sessions delivered?
Live online, recorded for replay inside the Portal (Circle). Schedules are shared at onboarding.
Time zones & replays?
Replays and transcripts are available; we aim to rotate session times or provide alternative office hours for global cohorts.
Accessibility?
We target WCAG-aligned practices for materials and portal UX (captions, transcript availability, contrast considerations), and we’ll make reasonable accommodations on request.
Tools & Platforms
What is the Portal?
Your private CoachLabs hub (Circle): events, replays, resources, discussion, and member-only content — built for engagement, courses, and live sessions.
How are certificates issued?
Via Accredible — verifiable digital badges/certificates with evidence links; easily shared with clients/employers.
Do I need to be “technical”?
No. We teach explainable, coach-ready workflows. Tools are selected for privacy, reliability, and clarity, not novelty.
Pricing, Billing & Policies
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — available at checkout. For teams, we can invoice annually.
Refunds?
Clear windows and terms are provided in writing at purchase (policy aligns with professional training norms; see references from leading providers for comparison).
Can I defer to a later cohort?
Yes, subject to capacity and a modest admin fee. We’ll spell out the exact terms in your offer letter.
Taxes/VAT?
Calculated at checkout where applicable.
Admissions & Fit
Who’s a great fit for CoachLabs?
Established coaches, therapist-adjacent practitioners, and performance professionals who value ethics, outcomes, and presence — and want to leverage AI without commoditizing the relationship.
I’m new to coaching. Can I join?
Membership: likely yes (Core). Certification: possibly — if you meet baseline practice criteria. SessionOS: waitlist is open to all, but early beta favors active practitioners.
Conduct & Community
What are community expectations?
High-trust, high-signal interactions. Respect confidentiality, credit sources, and keep discussions client-safe. Violations can result in removal to protect cohort integrity.
Can I use program materials in my business?
You may use templates and methods in your practice. Republishing course content or reselling CoachLabs IP is not permitted. Custom licensing for teams/enterprises is available.
